Need a Makeup Look for July 4th? ❤️💙
WOOOOOHOOO! WE LOVE AMERICA! WE LOVE FIREWORKS! WE LOVE HOT DOGS! ❤️
We also love makeup. The 4th of July is another chance to have a blast with your LEWK, so here are a few of my past celebrity makeup looks that might inspire something for you!!
If you do a fun look for the holiday, post a picture and tag me so I can share it on my grammmm!
Of courseeee you can have so much fun with your eye shadow for this holiday. I love taking different colors and breaking all the rules.
TURN YOUR LID INTO THE FLAG :
Start with a good eye primer so that a) the colors actually show up as well as they should, and b) the colors last all day!
Cover the lid with a white base.
Use a shimmery blue in the inner corner of your eyes.
Use a red (or even a reddish pink!) in the outter corner! It’s easy as that!!!
Feel free to cover it with some glitter (see below) and some inky eyeliner to solidify the look.
STICK TO ONE POP OF COLOR
For Busy Philipp’s eyes in this fun look, I used neutral eye shadow from the Jouer Essential Matte and Shimmer palette (use discount code JAMIE for Jouer!).
Then I used Milk’s Eye Pigment with a brush along the lash line. You can use that or any blue or red shadow to achieve the same thing.
I like adding glitter on top…see below for glitter tips!!
Those are just two ideas! I’ve got more eye shadow inspiration in the videos below…go crazy!
This look is great because it’s actually so simple!! If you’re not into a ton of shadow on your lid or you just like to keep things minimal, add just a bit of colored eye liner to your look (blue or white for this holiday…I’d stay away from red. You can do red eye liner if you’re going as a vampire for Halloween).
HOW TO DO IT:
Do your brows and eyeshadow the way you would any other day - maybe that means some nice neutral eyeshadow, or maybe that means nothing!
Black mascara on the TOP first.
Eyeliner time!! To apply, I start from the outside of my eye and apply it with small little dashes.
If you’re going for the look like Jaime King’s (above), apply black pencil liner to your water line first. Then apply a colored liquid liner underneath.
If you’re going for the Joey King look (also above. Btw, having two celeb Kings was not intentional), just go in with the gel or pencil liner and skip the black. Feel free to take a brush and smudge it a little bit.
If you want the smokey look like Joey’s, go over the liner with matching eye shadow. You can even skip step 3 and just use a colored eye shadow under your eye! If you’re nervous about eye liner or you just want something less dramatic, this is the move. For Joey’s look above, I actually only used eyeshadow for the cateye part of her eye, not liner. Just brush it up a little. You can even take your finger and rub under and back to get that flick.
Did you get a little messy? No biggie! Take a makeup wipe or a Q-tip dipped in makeup remover to clean up. You can also use it to sharpen the edge of your cateye if you want to.
That’s it for the eyes!! The rest of your face can be natural and simple, you can throw on a fun red lip, you can add some glitter…you’re the boss, betch! No matter what, your eyes will be fun, sleek and festive!
KILLER COLORED EYELINERS:

LIKE FIREWORKS…ON YOUR FACE
GLITTER!!!!! ✨ I’m always down for glitter. Think of it like an accessory and you’ll feel less shy about adding it into your look. Besides, this holiday is all about being bold and sparkly, so fireworks on your face fall right in line!!
You can use a shimmery colored eye shadow and call it a day. I love the Lorac Neon Lights Palette like nothing else at the moment.
You can put glitter over your eyeliner! Use a clear glitter for some sparkle, a black glitter over black liner to be sleek, or, of course, colored glitter to paint a party on your eyes.
You can put glitter on your LIPS. Like, over your red lip. Or translucent glitter. I know this might feel like a lot, but it’s hot and why not? Oh my goodness, I am such a poet.
You can use translucent glitter where you would add highlighter.
You can put it anywhere you freakin’ want to.

RED RED RED 💋
A woman in a good red lipstick is a gift. 🎁 Just throw it on for ANY look and you’re ready to celebrate!!
I also think a red lip is like an accessory. I feel like I own a ton of blue and white clothes and never enough red, so this bold red lip serves as the final touch to my patriotic outfit.
Here are some great ones:

Going for a swim?
Have no fear! You can still have fun with makeup even if you’re hopping in the pool or heading to the beach. Here’s a test of some waterproof makeup that can help you figure out what will last!
🚨🚨🚨 IMPORTANT: For any look, you BETTER wear sunscreen. ☀️
Happy 4th of July my loves! Have an amazing day!
