Get The Look: Kristen Bell in Neutrogena
THROWBACK in honor of the new Veronica Mars!! America’s sweetheart is back and badass as ever. I thought I’d share an exclusive look at the products I used on Kristen for Redbook Magazine!
That magazine had some features that are still relevant…check em out if you’re interested: Kristen's modern marriage tips and her confession to not being a perfect wife and mother. I think most of us can relate to falling short of perfect, but it's nice to see someone in the limelight telling it like it is!
Get The Look:
For this one, we used one of the tried and true brands of the beauty world…Neutrogena! It’s been a minute since we did this look, but their products are still reliable, gorgeous, and affordable. Let me know what you think!
For the eyes, I used Nourishing Long Wear Eye Shadow + Built-in Primer in mink brown. It’s so easy…the back of the package tells you exactly where to put everything, and the built-in primer ensures that it will last all day. Are you into a natural makeup look? I’m getting a natural makeup look vibe from you. Yep, you’ll love this.
I coated her top lashes with two coats of Healthy Lengths Mascara and one coat on the bottom. Then, I edged the bottom and top lash lines with a mix of Nourishing Eye Liner in Cosmic Black and Chocolate. That’s right…you can mix colors, people!!
First, I created a flawless finish with Healthy Skin Enhancer Broad Spectrum SPF 20. This a sheer tinted moisturizer with retinol treatment, and it’s oil-free.
I dabbed Healthy Skin Brightening Eye Perfector Broad Spectrum SPF 25 under Kristen's eyes. Great for concealing dark circles and easy to use since it’s a pen. If you need to rub in with your fingers, use your ring finger since it’s the lightest touch. You can also use my fave, a Beautyblender!
Matted down the t-zone with Shine Control Powder. This is especially important if you’re planning to take some pics, even if you don’t think you need it!
Now I love a blush that adds a natural-looking highlight too. The Healthy Skin Blends Blush in both Sunkissed and Pure added subtle healthy glow to her skin. Using both color palettes added natural dimension.
Lastly, on her lips I applied Moisture Smooth Color Stick in pink nude, classic nude, fresh papaya and cherry pink. I know it might seem overwhelming, but mixing colors can add depth, give you your own unique look, and just be super fun. Don’t be afraid of it! After all, you can always wipe it off and try again!
Do you love the look? Do you love Neutrogena?
